Our price request team needed support with their shopping cart and Ariba purchase request approvals. We wanted to eliminate multiple checks to verify, approve, and process requests from twenty-one local markets.
Solutions
Our team developed 'Smart Tool' as a one-stop solution for shopping carts and Ariba purchase requisition approval tasks. This solution relieved the need for multiple documents while processing requests, leading to more accurate and time-efficient task performance. There is now error reduction with many exceptions captured in one tool.
We faced difficulties tracking and maintaining the inventory buckets after an increase in the in-transit inventory from warehouse to site. It caused unnecessary delays in asset capitalization and impacted inventory valuation for Local Markets. We resolved the issue by developing a central reporting mechanism, enabling us to track inventory, set KPIs for each local market, and highlight required actions.
